Remarks by President KC regarding Israel’s strikes on Iran and the quest for Middle East Peace
On Friday, June 13, 2025, media outlets reported that Israel executed a series of airstrikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran, targeting sites purportedly linked to Iran’s nuclear program and other military installations.
This assault plunges the Middle East into renewed uncertainty, heightening the risk of a regional conflict. Given that nuclear weapons represent an existential threat to humanity and peace, I continuously advocate for the cessation of the nuclear threat, the abolition of nuclear arms, and the reallocation of military budgets and investments towards public health, development, peace, economic sustainability, or other areas that enhance human well-being.
The perilous cycle of attacks and retaliations threatens to exacerbate the regional conflict. I urge all parties involved in this dispute to exercise the highest degree of restraint, to cease hostilities, and to engage in constructive dialogue aimed at stabilizing the current situation. I firmly believe that diplomacy is the most effective means of addressing conflicts and achieving our collective aspirations for peace, stability, and prosperity.
Once again, I urgently call upon both parties engaged in the conflict to seek common ground to prevent further escalation of tensions and to support my Global Peace 2030 initiative, which envisions enduring peace in the Middle East as a crucial resolution to the ongoing conflict.
