Statement by Mr. KC regarding the humanitarian crises in Sudan

Thursday, June 5, 2025 – As the conflict continues to rage in the Republic of Sudan, the number of individuals who have fled since the onset of the civil war in 2023 has exceeded four million. The situation in Sudan is recognized as one of the most severe humanitarian crises globally.

The violent conflicts persist in vast Sudan, which shares borders with seven nations: Chad, South Sudan, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, the Central African Republic, and Libya. The circumstances in Sudan represent a historical catastrophe.

I have previously called upon governments and parties involved in the Sudan conflict to participate in a peace process, as peace is the only sustainable solution; no one truly wins in war.

The citizens of the Republic of Sudan yearn for peace and development free from violence or conflict. I aim to initiate peace discussions in Sudan in accordance with my Global Peace 2030 agenda.
