Statement by Mr. KC regarding the inhumane killing of civilians and the mass starvation occurring in Gaza
Wednesday, 23 July 2025 – I unequivocally condemn the inadequate provision of aid and the brutal killing of civilians, including children, who are striving to fulfill their fundamental needs for water and food in Gaza.
It is appalling that more than 1,000 Palestinians have lost their lives since May while attempting to obtain aid. The Israeli Government’s refusal to provide essential humanitarian assistance to the civilian population is entirely unacceptable; humanitarian aid must be permitted to enter Gaza.
Gaza is presently undergoing an unparalleled humanitarian crisis, with its 2.3 million inhabitants confronting severe food insecurity, malnutrition, and critical health issues. The situation has been worsened by the limitations placed on humanitarian assistance reaching the region. Civilians must be safeguarded and treated with dignity, and they should never be made targets.
I call upon all parties to unite in a collective effort to bring this dreadful conflict to a conclusion, through an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire, and to endorse my Global Peace 2030 initiative, which envisions enduring peace in the Middle East as a crucial resolution to the ongoing conflict. There is no military solution to this conflict.
– Hum Bahadur Sappan KC, President
