Thailand-Cambodia border conflict intensifies

Thursday, 24 July 2025 – As reported by the media, the ongoing border tensions between Thailand and Cambodia have escalated into a violent confrontation, resulting in the deaths of several civilians and a soldier in Thai territories, while others have been forced to flee for their safety.

I earnestly call upon both nations to practice restraint and to engage in meaningful dialogue to stabilize the present circumstances. I firmly believe that diplomacy is the most effective means of resolving conflicts and achieving our mutual goals of peace, stability, and prosperity.

Once again, I urge both Thailand and Cambodia to prioritize dialogue, maintain composure and restraint, and refrain from actions that could further aggravate this sensitive situation. Together, let us strive towards realizing the vision of Global Peace 2030.
